Law Enforcement Torch Run Guardian Games
The Law Enforcement Torch Run Guardian Games presented by Sanderson Ford will feature 64 teams competing in eight different events/stations throughout the Westgate Entertainment District. Each unified team will consist of one Special Olympics Arizona athlete, one law enforcement officer, and two sponsor participants. The goal is to develop a closer relationship between SOAZ athletes, law enforcement and Arizona businesses though this fun and unique format.
The event provides individuals the opportunity to have an interactive experience with SOAZ athletes in a fun, safe and competitive environment. It allows SOAZ athletes to gain higher-level sports skills while experiencing meaningful inclusion by playing a valued role on a team, with the goal of changing people’s attitudes about people with disabilities while fostering lasting friendships.

ABOUT LAW ENFORCEMENT TORCH RUN
Law Enforcement Torch Run® (LETR) is the largest fundraising vehicle for Special Olympics across the globe. In Arizona, law enforcement around the state raises more than $1 million per year that goes directly back to creating increased opportunities for Special Olympics Arizona athletes. Law enforcement agencies and personnel carry the Flame of Hope Torch in dedication to the athletes of Special Olympics Arizona throughout the state. Without their support, continued development would be near impossible.
