Consider giving a gift of some kind to those who provide you service throughout the year and that you have a relationship established. This could be anybody from a landscaper who visits monthly or maid who cleans weekly to your monthly pool guy or on-call handyman. If they really go the extra mile for you, consider giving more to those who provide you with outstanding service during the year.
Since there is no set standard for tipping service professionals like electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, and similar trades, it really comes down to whether or not you want to show your appreciation for the service they provide. While most workers in these trades don’t expect regular tips, you’d be hard pressed to find one that didn’t appreciate a nice bonus of 20 percent to 30 percent during the holiday season.
