  • LEVEL 1:  None.  Made to last for 10,000 cycles (opening and closing)
  • LEVEL 2:  Frying Pan Door.  Same Level 1 door with a Styrofoam layer on the inside surface
  • LEVEL 3:  3 Layer Steel Back Door.  Styrofoam panel encased between front and back panel
  • LEVEL 4:  3 Layer Door with a polyurethane foam injected in between the layers. Good at keeping outside noise at bay
• Extra tip: Each insulated door adds weight. May need to upgrade springs to handle the extra weight

Garage Door Maintenance

COMMENTARY

• Darker paint color can warp metal. Darker color door can be order with enhancements to prevent warping
• Metal is measured in galvanized sheet metal gauges. Lower the gauge number the thicker the metal
• Maintenance experience on a garage door

• Safety sensors must be working properly using the 2X4 test. Lifting the door when sensing an object in the way
