COMMENTARY

• Starting with bare ground
  • First install infrastructure:  Plumbing, electricial and conduit
  • 6-12 inches of woody mulch in the entire space
• Extreme heat care for trees
  • 6 foot diameter around the tree
  • 6 inches of woody mulch
• Cooling the ground further with cowpeas and sweet potatoes

Shade Protection And Fertilization

• Garden shade with straw, cloth, pergola and vine plants
• Trees with shade cloth over the top and west side only
• Bird protection with the fabric tulle
• Tree wrap to protect the trunk from sun damage
• Fertilization begins when tree is planted
