Discussion of the Tree Of The Month:  The Arizona Rosewood!  More of a big shrub.  Slow growth, low maintenance, bulletproof, good privacy type fence and can grow into a tree.

CALLER:  Does the Arizona Rosewood require a lot of sun?  And in the county, if someone’s tree grows over into the neighbor’s yard, can the neighbor cut or trim that tree and toss the trimmings back into that person’s yard?  (NOTE:  There is an Arizona Tree Law.  John explains)

CALLER:  Has an ash tree thats struggling with some of the bark stripped off.  Put a canopy over it to protect from the excessive heat and covered the trunk.  Is it time to give up or suggestions to keep it?

John’s Tree ‘To Dos’:  His tips on tree recovery from the summer’s excessive heat.  Focus on below the ground:  roots, nutrients, and careful watering.

CALLER:  What kind of shrub can you plant to grow into a small tree?  John and Dave has suggestions.

CALLER:  Has an ash tree planted too close to a gas line.  Will remove it and wants suggestions for planting a smaller tree with a smaller root base.

CALLER:  The excessive heat has taken a toll on their saugaro and barrelhead cactus.  Some barrelheads have died and some falling over after watering them.  Any suggestions?
