Farmer Greg discusses the benefits of efficient watering for your gardens and trees.

Greg explains the sources of water for your garden and how ‘stacking functions’ play a role in some of those sources that can be used more than once.

Directing the water where you want it to go. Use of harvesting tanks to collect rainwater has an expense. Yet for every inch of rain that falls off a roof, you can collect nearly 600 gallons of water.

Discussion on replacing windows. The top reason homeowners replace them is not necessarily for energy efficiency. Plus Rosie’s Beware on any window company who advertise a very high percentage of energy efficiency, say like 40%.

CALLER: Had an air conditioner checkup last fall on a 20 year old unit. Considering a spring checkup but was told its a good idea to have the ducts cleaned too.

CALLER: Has a home with no roof venting. Does has small venting between the rafters (eaves). Roof is peaked over the living room, flat over the garage. Should they put some venting on the peaked part?
