Recommendations – Shade!! Trees, pergola’s, natural vs. man-made.

Bruce – Hong Kong Orchid leaves leaching out.

Recommendation – fertilizer with Iron and Nitrogen, but don’t over fertilize. Water deeply too.

Mary – Leaves on here ocotillo is turning yellow.

Mike -small backyard and looking for shade. Can he plant a tree or should he stick to shrubs?

Recommendation – Small trees might work. Try aYellow Bird of Paradise, Purple Plumb, or Texas Ebony. Vines are a good option too!

Now is the time to plan for the summer heat!! How do you want to use your backyard? Create shade so you can enjoy your yard year round.

Recommendation – Outdoor lighting is a great idea so you can be outside at night when it’s cooler in the evening.

Greg – When he switches from Rye to Bermuda every year, his yard is taken over by weeds.

Tony – His lawn varies from year to year. Should he thatch? Should he aerate?

Recommendation – Aerating is a good idea. Your plant roots need oxygen too!

Recommendation – Absolutely! Try small containers first and make sure they’re protected and watered.
