Sponsored by Sanderson Ford.
For over 15 years, Rosie On The House and Sanderson Ford have partnered together for the Arizona Staycation, a monthly giveaway that sends one lucky winner and a guest on a two-night stay to a pre-chosen destination in the Grand Canyon sate.
To make the getaway even sweeter, winners also receive a $250 Visa gift card, an Arizona Highways swag bag, free admittance for two to any Arizona state park and a Sanderson-sponsored vehicle to get there.
Drawings are held on the 15th of each month to the destinations featured in the current Rosie on the House Handbook. Listeners can sign up once each month on the Rosie on the House website.

Winners have shared their testimonies with us each year. A common response is that they enjoyed seeing parts of Arizona they have not taken the time to visit before!
Kathie and Dale went to Flagstaff in August. Here’s what they had to say after their stay:
“We would like to give all of you at Sanderson and Rosie on the House a great big thank you for the awesome weekend we had up in Flagstaff. We picked up a Ford Bronco, and it drove perfectly. We stayed at the Hilton Express and the accommodation was perfect; we had a great view of the mountains, and the weather was a tad chilly in the morning for us but turned out to be perfect weather throughout the weekend. We attended the Oktoberfest event at the park and that was the first time we’d ever done anything like that so that was fun. The gift basket was perfect, thank you for the gift card and I loved the books that were included; we will definitely be doing some of those trails that are mentioned in the books!”

Debra took her pup to Wickenburg in the spring:
It was wonderful! I’m writing thank you notes to everyone. The gift basket was wonderful. Sanderson Ford’s Steve Sparks was great and Raj at Best Western made a wonderful stay and hotel. Thank you so much Rosie and staff and you too, Char!
Jim headed up to Sedona in September:
“You guys thought of everything! The gift basket was great; it was a nice touch adding the signed book on our state parks. We enjoyed everything in it! The hotel was just as nice…we also enjoyed the wonderful restaurants next door.
We used the state park passes at Red Rock Park; I’d never been. I’m old enough to remember the old park near the creek north of downtown. We took a side trip up to the Snowbowl to see the aspens. It was the perfect time to see them as the leaves were just beginning to fall. Sanderson Ford was very easy to work with, they even let us pick up the Bronco on Saturday, so we didn’t have to mess with it Monday morning. Many thanks to Scott and his team! I even left my card and let them know what I was looking for in my next car. With that kind of service, I would drive across town to deal with them. All in all, we had a great trip and enjoyed every moment of it!”
Karen and her plus one headed to Snowflake after winning in October:
“I just wanted to say thank you to all concerned for putting together our Rosie on the House staycation win in Snowflake. From picking up the car, receiving the fabulous surprise basket with loads of goodies, books, generous gift card, etc. – all of which were much appreciated – to the most comfortable stay at the charming Heritage Inn. Everything was perfect! We enjoyed exploring and learning about a town in our beautiful state which we had never visited before.”
Arizona is tailor-made for staycations, especially if you’re craving a quick change of scenery without leaving the state. The Rosie on the House 2026 Staycations can help with just that!
Up north, Flagstaff is a favorite thanks to its cool weather, walkable downtown, and just the right mix of history and outdoors. Classic hotels like the Weatherford, Monta Vista, Hotel Luzon, and Base Camp put you right in the heart of the action. While you’re there, it’s worth slowing down to explore the Riordan Mansion for its local history or spending an evening at Lowell Observatory, where Pluto was discovered.
“The Weatherford Hotel is a great place if you’re looking for great food, drinks and history in the heart of Flagstaff,” Manager Sam Green said.
Northern Arizona University also adds energy to the city, and its Skydome is a fun piece of trivia – did you know it was once the largest wooden dome in the country? A little farther west, Williams delivers small-town charm with a side of nostalgia. Staying at the Grand Canyon Hotel sets the tone for exploring Route 66, complete with car shows and roadside Americana, while highlights like Bearizona, a nearby deer farm, zip lining, and a ride on the train to the Grand Canyon make it easy to fill a long weekend.

If red rocks and spa vibes are more your speed, Sedona is hard to beat. L’Auberge and Enchantment both deliver that iconic Sedona experience, while a Best Western Plus can be a solid, budget-friendly option. Days here revolve around hiking, jeep tours, and soaking in the scenery, but Sedona’s art galleries, restaurants, and cultural offerings are just as compelling. A visit to the Chapel of the Holy Cross is obligatory, whether you’re there for the architecture, the views, or a quiet moment of reflection.
Head south and Tucson offers a totally different flavor, one that food lovers especially adore. Hotel Congress is a great home base (and it’s full of murals from local artists!), and from there it’s all about eating your way through town, from Charro Steak & Del Rey to Mr. An’s, a longtime favorite for teppanyaki steak. Between meals, attractions like Sabino Canyon, the Sonoran Desert Museum, Kitt Peak, Old Tucson, the Pima Air Museum, and the Reid Park Zoo keep things interesting.
Prescott and Lake Havasu both make strong cases for a staycation. Prescott pairs outdoor adventure with a charming downtown, offering everything from hikes around Goldwater and Watson Lakes to the Greenway Trail that loops the city. Historic downtown hotels include the Hassayampa Inn and Hotel St. Michaels, while SpringHill Suites a few blocks off the square offers more modern accommodations including room size. Museums like Phippen and Sharlot Hall are a must for local and Western history lovers. Lake Havasu leans into fun, with waterfront stays at the Nautical Beachfront Resort or a hotel near the London Bridge Resort. Activities range from boating to quirky attractions like the area’s 28 lighthouses and events that focus on hot air balloons, fireworks competitions – even a celebration of Arizona’s hottest day ever recorded.
In Arizona, adventure doesn’t have to come with a boarding pass. From mountain air and red rock views to small-town charm and big-time fun, the staycation scene continues to deliver unforgettable moments right in our own backyard. Thanks to Rosie on the House and Sanderson Ford, the 2026 Staycation is shaping up to be a chance to discover (or rediscover) how special this state really is.
