CAN I USE CHRISTMAS TREE MULCH IN MY VEGETABLE GARDEN

I recently got ground up Christmas tree mulch from the city “Tree-Cycle” program. The mulch would be mostly from pine trees, I assume. My questions are as follows:

1. Does that type of mulch have too much acid in it? What is your opinion on its uses?
2. Is that type of mulch not good to use in a vegetable garden?
