We’re taking questions about your yard with John Eisenhower of Integrity Tree Service and Bill Jenkins, owner of Think Green Irrigation & Landscaping!

  • Bill talks irrigation… to discover if it’s installed improperly or isn’t working. He has a 3-step process – Workmanship, Design & Material Quality. If you have 2 of the 3, you’re probably able to fix it.
  • Ways to correct mistakes in your system (A Professional Band-Aid) Bill likes products from ToroHunter & Rainbird.
  • John’s “sermon” on trees and tree care. Recapping our discussion on soil conditions and caring for the root system on your trees.
  • When storms are coming, don’t over-water! It will make conditions primed for a tree to topple during monsoon season. We discuss sensors you can add to your irrigation system to combat over-watering.
  • Dealing with outdoor work in the middle of the summer heat.

Segment 4

  • Rosie talks about contractors needed around the state! If you’re qualified, look through our Parnter list and give them a call!
  • Why you should choose a Rosie-certified contractor.

  • Lori – She wants to move the laundry room in her home and that would require moving plumbing lines into the attic. She’s been told that’s a bad idea, because they’ll never get cold water.

Recommendation – That’s basically true.  When the home is built, the plumbing usually goes under the slab, but once they break, it’s not economically feasible to do that again. Rosie talks through a few options she can consider.

Segment 4

We discuss Home Disclosures when your selling your home:

  • Radon and the issues surrounding that.
  • Biggest problems with homes in AZ is water damage.
  • When you do have a problem, fix it and keep the documentation! Rememer, there is no perfect house.

  • Larry – He heared us talking about protecting your home from lightning and grounding homes. He’s a new homeowner and wants us to recap.

Recommendation – Rosie talks through electrical surges, causes and why “whole house surge protection” is a good idea. It’s an inexpensive installation to protect all the expensive electronics in your home.
