If you are seeing some browning or holes in the leaves on your plants, you are most likely dealing with a Thrip infestation. Thrips are a sucking insect that deform the leaves and strive on vegetation. Their natural diet is typically weeds, but if you have removed all of your weeds, they are likely to move on to the trees.
The damage Thrips cause is purely cosmetic and nothing to worry too much about. John Jay says sticking to a good fertilization schedule (3x’s per year) should help your trees grow out of it.
