It’s wise to choose a color that blends in with the color of the home and with the land surrounding it. Some new-home communities discourage residents from installing awnings with stripes or other designs, as they could clash with Arizona’s dusty landscape. Muted earth tones tend to blend in the best and cause the least concern for homeowner’s associations.
